Want a Full-Time Job with Benefits? Too Bad! How Does Contract Work Sound?

Tune in on some news media outlets and chances are you will hear a very optimistic view of what is currently happening in the United States and the economy. You will hear that jobs are coming back, the stock market is slowly but surely climbing, people are going back to work, and that we just have to wait for the market to correct itself. Things will soon be back to normal, right? Wrong!  Things are going to get a whole lot tougher for a lot of folks!

Give Up Your Full-Time Job!

Recently, CNN released an article that made an astonishing claim and that could mean very bad news for many Americans! According to CNN, soon many will have to Say Goodbye to Jobs with Benefits and settle for a contract job!Today, the unemployment rate is at 10% nation-wide and large corporations seem to be somewhat nervous about bringing back some of the old jobs! The growing trend among employers now seems to be replacing what were previously full-time jobs with benefits, with what are now contract jobs! In fact according to CNN’s article, in 2005 the government estimated that 31% of U.S. workers were already so-called contingent (contract) workers and experts say that number could increase to 40% or more in the next 10 years. Other experts believe that full-time workers could become the minority in the next 20-30 years leaving a majority of the U.S workforce without traditional benefits such as Healthcare, Paid Vacation, and Retirement Plans. As you can imagine, this will have a devastating effect on the American worker, as now they will be forced to work more, for less pay, with less time-off, and responsible for providing their own healthcare. This growing trend among employers will not only place a bigger burden on employees but the option of only having contingent (contract) work will significantly impact the manner in which many Americans will be able to provide for their families and lower many standards of living across the nation. Something, many simply cannot even fathom given the current economic situation!

How Will You Prepare?

Your options are very clear! Whether you are unemployed, a corporate employee, a recent college graduate, or a college student getting ready to graduate from college and enter the workforce – the best option is to start moving towards building a home based business. And guess what? You don’t need to start tomorrow, or the day after. You need to start NOW! Many have already started searching for home based business opportunities and are now in the early stages of building a home based business. No, people are not quitting their jobs right away. However, many certainly do work from home part time, perhaps after their day job, and are building a business to prepare themselves and to develop a significant income stream that will soon allow them to live a worry free lifestyle.

Why on earth anyone would not look for an opportunity to produce a significant income working from home, without having a boss to answer to, without having to deal with traffic, without having income caps, or without dealing with the stresses of not having enough time to devote to themselves and their families, is beyond me. This is not about trying to get rich anymore! This is about ensuring that you maintain your current standard of living and that you can provide for your loved ones! Will you sit on the bench and just go with the tide or will you be like Gregg Davison who chose to prepare, leave the corporate world for the entrepreneurial path, ensuring and increasing his standard of living?

The choice is yours. Choose wisely!
